Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Return Regret ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of Service

Return Regret is a Shopify application that helps merchants intercept return requests and offer alternatives (exchanges, store credit, keep-item discounts) to reduce return-related revenue loss.

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must:

  • Have an active Shopify store
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your account

4. Subscription and Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Shopify
  • Free 14-day trial available on paid plans
  • Cancel anytime through Shopify admin
  • No refunds for partial months (pro-rata not applicable)
  • Prices subject to change with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Use the App for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Interfere with the App's operation
  • Resell or redistribute the App
  • Use the App to violate customer privacy

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Akestech and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Akestech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.

9. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Akestech from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate by uninstalling the App from your Shopify store.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Karnataka, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
